El enlace que aparece abajo es para votar por la bandera más linda del mundo. Es una encuesta de un diario español llamado "20 minutos". Eran 120 banderas. Cada 2 días eliminan las que tienen menos votos. Hoy [27 de junio] quedan 20. Ya se acerca la semifinal.

Presionando el enlace puedes entrar a la encuesta y votar por nuestra bandera. Las banderas pueden obtener un máximo de 5 puntos por voto. Así que adelante y a votar por la bandera tricolor y luego ir al final (debajo de todas las banderas) y presionar "Enviar tus votos"

Helping others

In one of the forums that I use frequently, there was a link to this site: http://www.freerice.com/

I've gone there a couple of times. I've enjoyed it. It is a vocabulary game. They provide a key word and you choose the best synonym. Each time you get it right you donate 20 grains of rice. This is a great chance to give rice to those who have nothing. It is free, plus you may learn a couple of new words!!

If you go to the Options tab you can select to have the site remember you or not. I'm a language buff so this site is interesting to me.

I know some of you may think I'm a nerd... oh well... what to say. Language buff sounds better. Hope you have fun.

I signed up for a blog a while back. Then I did not even published my first entry. Then I forgot my password. Somehow I remember it a while back. Made sure it still worked, but yet, I did not write. Today I feel like writing and decided to give it a try.

I have not been a fond of writing. Reading yes, but not writing. I tried it when I was a teenager but I did not like what I wrote when I read it days later. Many things have happened lately, that I now feel that this would be a good therapy. like I said I'll give it a try.

English is not my first language so please excuse my mistakes. Good thing Firefox checks for misspellings, but the good use and/or misuse of idioms, phrases, puns, idiomatic expressions will be all my fault. I love idioms but from time to time I do mix them up, or tweak them, or recall them incorrectly. Just bear with me. Feel free to comment and teach me the correct usage.

I will also be writing in Spanish, my first language. I guess it will depend on the mood I am in or whatever my soul feels it is best to get it out of my chest.
